Can anybody recommend a good home buildings and contents insurance company? Liberty Seguros seem to have lots of clauses within their policies and when it comes to making a claim, you get hit with "maintenance issue" or "wear and tear".

Also possibly changing car insurance away from them also.

I have for many years used Linea Directa, had quite a few breakdown claims with and older car, never a problem and always prompt service, had house insurance for 4 years luckily no claims but I would assume that they would treat this the same.

The only thing I would say is never except their first price or even the second if you are not happy, I love the haggle with them.

I'd also recommend linea directa and support the other advice to not accept the first offer. Say no and that you will shop around and pretty soon they will call you back with a much better offer. You also get a discount for having car and house insurance. I have had to make a claim and they were efficient and friendly.

I have been with Linda Direct and haven’t been able to find better, but I agree one needs to phone them for the best price. I have found them excellent.

Call them and ask 917 002 006

Or you could use a comparison site this is a good one normally quotes within 5 mins. I lis one below.

https://www.rastreator.com/seguros-de-coche.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=b&utm_term=&utm_campaign=CAR+DSA&utm_adgroup=Coches&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqpCvmOS48wIViAUGAB1MfgJeEAAYBCAAEgJW2vD_BwE

Or search for your own just type in a search engine Sitios de comparación de compañías de seguros

Only an insurance company could tell you that. everyone is different dependent on age experience etc

It's different to the UK as it is not the drivers who are insured, but the actual car. So we've just done ours - first time car owners - through Linea Direct.  Anyone over the age of 26 is insured to drive the car. That's how it works. Also, breakdown cover is usually included in the policy. Out of interest, we paid just a little over what we pay in the UK, but have the benefits of any driver and breakdown. Hope this helps.

Would 350 Euro be a good offer ?
