Have you checked your overall power allowance on your electricity contract / bill?

Your electricity is normally contracted for a certain amount of maximum power consumption. If you're with Iberdrola, the lowest option is 3.3kW, although 5.75kW is more usual. Your bill will show a 'potencia contratada' which is your capacity.

Most ovens average around 2.5kW, but some will be higher, so this doesn't give you much leeway if you have also have a fridge, freezer, tv, pool pump, fans / aircon, etc. on at the same time.

If this is the reason, you may need to upgrade your contract.

Hope this helps!

If your bill shows a capacity lower than 5.75kW, then I would suggest that this is the issue.

You should then contact Iberdrola and then they will probably arrange for an electrician / engineer to come out and check that your connection & the local network has the capacity, then they just make a change in the meter. If they have similar properties in the same area with higher capacities then they might not even need to check your's.

You will pay a slightly higher 'Potencia facturada' which is the equivalent of the UK 'Standing Charge' for having a higher capacity.
