Hello. We have a holiday home in El Carmoli (since March 2022) and are hoping for some advice on buses and taxis. Are there any buses that run through Los Urrutias into Los Alcazares? Or the other way to Los Nietos? Also can anyone recommend a taxi company?

A bus runs once a day from El Carmoli to Los Alcazares but not sure of the time, will check when I return next week. Also a bus runs twice a day to  Cartagena the morning service bring at 9:20. Local taxi driver is Paco, nice guy, ring or WhatsApp him on 34 609 676 211. He will pick you up from home and take you to LA for about 15 euros.

Hi Andy,

That's really useful thank you. It's a shame there isn't a more regular bus service to and from Los Alcazares (and the the train terminal at Los Nietos). We could see online there are some published bus timetables for various routes around the area, but guessed that some of them are probably not running as published. First, I havent seen a bus anywhere and secondly the bus stops look unused to say the least :)

Our kids and their partners are coming over to our house and would prefer to not need to hire a car, hence my question about public transport. Thank you for the number for the local taxi service.

We hadnt anticipated how difficult it would be to navigate the basics with a new second home in a new country and not knowing a single person, so thank you for taking the time to reply to us.

Many thanks!
