Electric bikes  are taking over the roads pavements etc no tax no insurance no fuel duty no driving licence 

People are driving these on roads pavements everywhere it is very dangerous today a woman dropped her shopping of scooter on roundabout  

Bad enough with cyclist ignoring road signs etc

Legally they are no longer allowed either on the road or pavement (never were anyway) unless registered basically the same as a 50cc moto with all that entails such as ITV, inurance, licence, helmet etc.

I believe that so far there is only one model of scooter which is in fact able to be so registered.

The guarda are slowly starting to implement the law and there have been seizures and prosecutions, frankly that can't come soon enough, they are a bloody menace.

They are no worse than the people who go down to the bars on a and b have a drink and then drive home, drive British registered cars over here longer than six months and not legal. but you do not here people winning about that. but lots do it.

Any one who is not legal should be prosecuted but what is bad is that pedestrians have right of way cyclists have right of way yet non are payers of tax insurance or have to keep up with the local legal requirements very bad
