Can anyone explain the eu 90/180 day rulings, for spain.

I understand that you can spend 90 days of the 180 days.

Just want to know if you can split the 90days into mini breaks, say weekend breaks or a week stay at a time, do you have to wait 90 days from the time you left, or can you visit as much as you like in the 180 days as long as you don't go over 90 days?

Regards Mon.

Non residents can spend 90 days in every 180 days on a rolling basis. Here's a link to the Schengen calendar that will help you calculate the day.

you can come and go as many times as you like as long as you dont stay more than 90 days in 180 from the first day you left the Schengen zone

You should have no problem if you are back and forwards the easy way to know how long you can stay is

Know how long you have been in Spain (Really the EU open border area) over the last 180 days (Six months)

If it is 45 then you can can stop at lease 45 days, I think this will suit you from the description

If you had been in Spain exactly 180 days ago for 7 days then these would drop out of your time allowed,

so after 7 Days in Spain you can do the calculation again and that is the number of days you can stay, you just need to know how many over the last 6 months, more accurate method may be required if you are pushing in to the limit.

I think this is simpler than any other method i have seen.

Remember it is days not nights, holidays you refer to as 7 nights are 8 days light a coach trip
