I will visit even less than I did in the past, after all my relatives like to come here & enjoy the sunshine more than I enjoy the rain in UK!

It costs a lot more than €7 to visit places like China and USA and if I've read it right 1 application is valid for 3 years so not read a problem

I've lived & worked in Spain for over 30 years so maybe others may think, because of Brexit,I would consider changing to Spanish nationality. However I served in the armed forces at one time which meant I swore allegiance to the British crown. So don't feel like saying"Goodbye Queen Liz & Hola King Felipe".Just my opinion but I don't mind paying for a visa to visit the States or elsewhere but find it unreasonable to be charged to visit my home country even for a small fee.In fact ,now that so many of us have lost our voting right(promised to be restored but don't hold your breath,it's been delayed again) I do hope it will never be imagined that we lose are automatic right of re-entry to UK ,to keep to targets, since we have been away for a set number of years.A sobering thought though.

I believe, may be wrong, you can only have 1 home country which officially is the country your father was born in but in most cases is taken as your birth country. Unless of course you nationalise to another country but then you will still only have 1 home country.
So in the case if the majority of expats we will be next year visitors to any EU country and will have to pay 7€ every 3 years to visit any if those EU countries. Its not a Spanish rule, its the EU and it affects every country not in the EU, not just the UK. In my opinion £28 to visit America is extortionate but I pay because I want to visit. 7€ for a 3 year visit to lots of countries is therefore a bargain. A change yes, but still a bargain

My granddaughter is Spanish, born here,Spanish Papa,English Mother. For England she is allowed,if wanted, dual nationality but Spain will recognize only being Spanish. Can be quite confusing nowadays with different countries having different rules especially when there are so many mixed marriages.I live in a small town north Costa Blanca & we have about 100 different nationalities registered on the Padron. It does make it interesting as we all join in each others activities.
