Los Alcazares Fiesta de la Huerta y el Mar
The International Fiesta of the Countryside and Sea is taking place in Los Alcazares from 14th until the 29th August 2015. The festival celebrates the annual migration of the countryside workers to the sea for the hot summer months.The translation of 'Huerta y el Mar' is 'Garden and the Sea'
There will be a number of barracas' constructed, which are small temporary buildings, in the location of the Tuesday market in Calle de los Catalanes and these will be open to everyone each evening from 8.30pm to 12.30am during the festivities where there will be local food and tapas on offer.
The weekend main events (22nd & 23rd August) are shown below - A full programme of events should be available in the Town Hall & Tourist offices.

7pm There will be a band Parade along Avenida de la Libertad to the Town Hall
Sunday 23rd August 2015
10.30pm There will be a closing ceremony with music, dancing and a firework display in the Parque de las Penas Huertanas.
