Worth noting that Monday 19th is San José (St Joseph’s Day) and many shops and businesses will be closed, e.g. Mercadona.

We will be in Los Alcazares at the Hotel 525 on Monday and Tuesday for our house purchase completion, any advice on seeing the Festival, good Tapas and places to eat?
Looks like the wife's shopping trip is on hold for a day.

Not sure which festival you mean...lots of good places to eat just next to the 525 but if you want more Spanish food head down to the old town behind the town hall and try one of the smaller bars there...or have some tapas on the terrace of Hotel Encarnacion on the beach.
