Does the wind always get up in the afternoons in LA, or is it a seasonal thing?

Tends to be around 1-2pm been the same for the 14 years I've lived here but does tend to worse in summer, I was told it's called the inversion by a helicopter pilot.

Never been this windy for so long before...usually just an afrternoon breeze when the tide turns.....
