Hi there got to agree , came out of my class and followed 5 cyclist going by the arches bar in Los Alcázares the lady was too busy watching what was going on at the arches bar that she was swaying over the road as I tried to pass , the guy in front just cycled out at the busy roundabout there and a jeep had to slow right down to avoid him he didn’t even look . It makes me anxious as I don’t think it’s fair on drivers as they always get the blame

Car drivers attitude ,,I'm paying taxes!!" towards cyclists is completely wrong. What about pedestrians then? Cyclists, motorcyclists in London is the menace, one cyclist managed to rip off my front number plate years ago! I found worst cyclists in Cambridge for some reason. What I'm trying to say here it's not black and white, car drivers are as bad as cyclists, both have a brakes and steering wheel so both sides could put them in appropriate use when needed. Cars and cyclists SHOULD threat each other with the same respect... but, I'm asking too much??? Don't get me wrong, I got two cars, a van and... a bicycle.
Have a pleasant driving!
Just to put things in perspective....
I was very recently in Hanoi where there are 9 million people and 7 million mopeds, motorcycles and bikes. You can't walk on the pavements for parked vehicles and if there is a clear metre of pavement beware oncoming cycles who happily mount the kerb to get ahead. There is no real 'right side of the road to drive, so you can expect them to come at you from all directions. The only way to survive is to walk steadily and NEVER stop when crossing. You may as well cross with you eyes shut as they weave around you mostly. Crossing the road is an act of faith. Surprising it works mostly and there is no road rage, (imagine this in Britain - there would be mass rioting) everyone just accepts it with good grace and gets on with it.
Never seen a drunk bike rider in 12 months in Camposol but I have seen a few drivers who should not have been driving.Chill out and enjoy.People are people, just give them bit more room and stop moaning, after all you will get there before them!
