Hi.

We have just purchased a property with a solarium and would like to install a plunge pool on the roof. Has anybody got any advice with regards to size & weight that would be suitable for this?

Many thanks.

Rob & Kay Harvey.

Hi...

I'm thinking of doing the same and have been doing some research as to the weight of certain pools.

even for a small pool ( 2m by 2 m ) seem to weigh 2 ton or 2000kg ish.......you'd need to allow another 500kg for 3 or 4 adults.

I'm thinking we will have to get a structural engineer in to be on the safe side. The property insurance might be void without a report.

Can I ask have you found a good place to buy the plunge pool.We are still looking to source one.

Hi Rich.

Thanks for the info. I think we'll have to look into this further. Also we have only just purchased our property and haven't really looked into pool suppliers.

Good luck.

Hi Rob & Kay

If it helps, we have had installed a four man hot tub on our solarium roof to use as a plunge pool like a few of our neighbours. Maybe a quicker a cheaper option for you? We have been told our roof was good for upto 10 Tonne. Our property is a Classico 2 x bed on Camposol.

We hope this helps

That's great. It will give us an idea on the weight and an alternative if need be.We have bought a similar property to yours.

Kind regards.

Rob.
