Los Alcazares Retirement home

not sure what you mean by suitable retirement accommodation. There are a couple of private and council run homes but generally most retired peoplehere  live in apartments or small urbanisations in or near to Los Alcazares not actually designated as retirement property.

Retired people are not corralled into 'retirement accomodation' in LA. 

Many of those with least Spanish language choose to live in Los Narejos, in the northern end of LA, but the southern end, the 'old town' is very interesting and much more Spanish.

As always the recommended approach is to rent for a while, giving you time to find the location that best suits you.

I would advise renting for a few months first & cycling around the area plus talking to people.  When you say retirement accommodation are you talking like the UK, warden accommodation. There are certain areas we would not live in.  Good luck

I'm intrigued, what areas are you talking about? I am waiting for the restrictions  to lift before coming to Los Narejos, on the Oasis urbanisation.  I welcome anyone's thoughts on that area.
