Due to the increase in squatters I am looking at fitting metal “gate” type security to the front door, patio door points of entry. Could anyone please recommend an honest reliable person or company that could help. I don’t particularly like to have these but squatting is seemingly becoming quite commonplace and we arnt able to be here as often as I would like, any recommendations would be most helpful, I am in Los Alcazares. Many thanks.

Hi, we got a security door a couple of years ago, and went to Carpentera Metalica.  Its on the N332 road from Dos Mares shopping Centre in San Javier. I think the unit is 3CB.  As you go along theres a turning on your left just before Carrasso.  They were very prompt, efficient and friendly. Cant remember the price but they were good. I just took along a photo of a security door that I had seen and said can you do this.  Hope this helps.

After a chat with a neighbor I have arranged for a local chap who has a fabrication business to do the work, many thanks for people taking the trouble to respond.

Don't forget the windows, easy entry point as well.

Also worth making sure you have antisnap locks fitted all round. Crooks can break open a standard euro lock in seconds.
