Hi, we are selling our house in the UK to move to Spain. We will not make any profit on it, having spent money on improvements.  The property we are looking for in Spain will be around half the price of the sale of our house. Can anyone tell us if we will have to pay property tax to the Spanish authorities and if so how much percentage wise. Thanks.

So long as you are not resident and have not spent 183+ in same year as the sale, you won't be a fiscal resident until next year. If you complete after New Year then if you move to Spain straightaway then you will pay, although you say you

Won't make any profit so perhaps it wouldn't affect you either way.
