Morning I don't know if someone has come across the same problem, or could offer some advice please. But on trying to register with Iberdrola, in order to view my bills online. It no matter what combination I try, it will not accept my UK mobile number , obviously have tried including the country code but to no avail. Would be grateful for any thoughts Regards Andy

Have you tried dropping the leading zero on your mobile ?

00 44 (0)7855 21556

There is also the possibility that Iberdrola will not accept a UK mobile number.

Lots of places don't

It's many years since I registered so can't really suggest anything else.

They will only let you register with a Spanish number.

Hi Roland many thanks for your reply, I did try as you suggested, but unfortunately no joy and I fear you that you are correct in suggesting that they no longer accept Uk mobile numbers. Which is a bit negative on their part giving the number of non resident customers there is. Kind Regards Andy

If you have a dual-sim phone you could add e.g. a Movistar sim. A bit like trying to get your UK National Insurance number accepted in Spain, or vice versa?

Maybe do as we did and get a Spanish sim. We got one from Lobster and pay 12.99€ a month and the texts and calls to the UK from Spain and in the UK to Spain and UK to UK and Spain to Spain are free.

I have had the opposite problem with some old bill providers in the UK where as they won’t dial a Spanish number.

Hi. Previously when confronted by this we have used a Spanish friends number and asked them. But it’s never. Even an issue or needed they just want the info in their format !
Or buy a cheap SIM whilst here and don’t renew it. Let it expire but quote it if needed. I’ve done that too!

Now we live here so have Spanish numbers anyway but that’s how I got around it.
