Is this weather normal for July/August?

Whenever we mentioned moving to Murcia from the Axarquia campo people said it would be very hot.

Today here it is around 31C and in Benamargosa near where we lived it is 36, so that puts them as hotter, but what was not mentioned was the humidity, with LA at 62% and Benamargosa 30%, which explains why we are sitting in puddles of perspiration!

Can any longterm residents tell us if the current weather is the norm?

It was fine in July. I was there for 2 weeks. I will be back end of this month. I have never been in august before, but my neighbour said I was lucky to be going back to my uk home in july as the heat can be very hard to deal with in august.

It isn’t the heat that is grinding me down, but the humidity! It is very difficult to get dry, and impossible to stay dry.....it is a joy to go shopping, with the most comfortable place being the car with air-con blasting, then Carrefour’s climate control.
