If it's true that the Cajamar Wefferent account for non residents is no longer fee free what alternative fee free, or low cost, accounts are available for non residents? TIA

You don't actually need or are obliged to have a Spanish bank account.

You can use a euro account from Transferwise or Starling bank to pay all your Spanish direct debits.

I use Transferwise.

Hi Roland, thanks for the recommendation. Transferwise wasn't on my radar as I thought it was just a card that you topped up but it's now more than that. Thanks again, and I'll have a good look to see how it works. Cheers

Just go to Wise.com & have a look.

The website is self explanatory.

You would need to open a Euro account

Move funds from GBP to the Euro account when rates are good.

Move your Spanish DD to Wise.

Plenty of info on here if you use the search facility at the top of this page.

Search for TransferWise or their new name Wise

I wonder where you heard this information there advertising of the account states no fee.
