Hi All

We are buying a property in puerto de mazarron in September and will need an electric water heater, any advise on where we would buy one in the port or nearby?

Many thanks

Hi Jayne and Steven,

Visanfer is usually pretty good for most DIY supplies. They are on the right-hand side of the road just after the roundabout at the entrance to Mazarrón from the Port. You should find a selection of both electric and gas water heaters there, and the staff are helpful if you are unsure which is the best option for you. There's usually someone there who can speak some English if you're not yet up to speed with the Spanish, too.

Good luck!

Be careful when buying a new water heater that you don't buy one that overloads your rated electric supply.

Usually the bigger the water capacity of the tank the higher the power requirement.

Just a thought.

Hi Rojay2008, we were in exactly the same situation as you a couple of years ago and used CHM Mazarrón (recommended to us on this forum). They were excellent with advice and have even come back before the warranty ran out to check all was working well. (00 34 646 965 082). We try to use Spanish companies where possible, but this English company really is great. Good luck!
