Hi there!!!  My husband has passed de theorical driving test in English, first attempt. He studied hard for it.

He's having problems passing the practical exam due to Language barrier. The examiner speaks too fast & non stop with the professor. This makes him nervous & unable to concentrate. Hubby is 72 yrs of age, an experienced driver. Are there any driving schools in San Pedro that understands the situation & can speak slow to him. No, he can't exchange. He's from the US! Any advice please?

Thank you so much peeps! Really appreciate your wisdom & advice.

MICAELA.

It sounds like the problem is with the examiner rather than the instructor, so changing schools would not change the situation. He could explain the problem to his instructor (using an interpreter if needed) and see if he/she could have a word with the tester, but if the examiner is unsympathetic to non-Spanish speakers (and this can of course happen)...

I am a bit surprised that your husband does not speak Spanish, as even 30 years ago we found Chicago had lots of signage in both Spanish and the American version of English, even down to the "mind the doors" signs on the El" and of course Florida probably has as many Hispanic folk as any other group.
