Can anyone advise if there is a wine cave anywhere nearby? Do they sell wine in the large 5L containers? Thanks

There is a place in Dolores de Pacheco where you can fill your own containers...and Vinissimo in San Javier...never heard of a wine cave anywhere near.

Check this out ZB, Los Alcazares, 1ltr or 5ltr, all good quality wine & sherry, 3.50€ for a ltr of the finest moscatel

I don't know about wine caves but wine

BODEGAS in San Pedro will fill and refill 1-5 L wine bottle containers from their huge barrels. You can first taste then buy if you want, no pressure nor  obligation to buy from tasting. Very cheap prices.

Google: Bodegas in San Pedro del Pinatar.

Salud!🍷

Thanks Kate. We are near the plaza so walked there last week and saw it wasn’t there anymore. Thought I’d imagined it! Shame.

“Cave” looks like a bad computer translation - a “bodega” is a cellar rather than a cave, but nowadays it may not be a below ground store.
