Hi I’m looking to purchase a property and would like to know the best areas to be. And, more importantly, which areas are problematic and are best avoided

I assume you have heard about the “gota fria” in September. Below is a map where you could get “wet feet”

Areas which could be flooded:

Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura (Zonas Inundables)

https://www.chsegura.es/portalchsic/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=78668c5c6f9f40cdafa3677e6b1485ca&codif=&nombre=Zonas%20inundables

other wise visit / drive around and get a feeling where you would like to settle. Maybe rent at first…..

Hola    take a look at Sierra Golf     in the Gota Fria    it was not flooded  (high up)  but the road was cut off     you will be 10 to 15 minutes from

the coast     Plus  the price of a property is very good

Look for Balsicas  on the RM19 from San Javier   to Murcia     or  online  info@propertunites.es    phone (+34)  680  186  462

have  a few houses for sale    or   look for   urmosa   on line

I would def recommend Águilas, and surrounding areas. Very Spanish and lovely unspoilt locations and beaches. I found my house on Spain.uk.com - they basically did all my paperwork, all legal stuff, town hall stuff. Now I live here and love it

Hi Gary!
I love the small village where I was born, Casas Blancas (between Sucina and San Javier).

It is only 15 minutes to the beach by car, extremely calm to enjoy the peacefulness of the lemon groves in the surrondings and a lot of things to do really close (golf, horse riding, and so on). You can find out more about in this website (we organised the info, with videos, so it could be handy):

In the other hand in our activities you can meet Spanish native speakers and learn Spanish in an enjoyable way. We also provide Spanish lessons and other services:

Godd luck!!
Rafa
