Hi this might help. We are currently in the final stages of renovating a house in San Pedro. We are having the kitchen done by Jeremy Sample who was recommended to us by the builder we used. We've met him, we were impressed with his ideas and he is starting our kitchen next week. He is very busy so that's a good sign - we initially met him in Nov and he is only available now.
We already had a kitchen we wanted to reuse and because it required extra units and he couldn't get the same colour he suggested re-spraying all the units which seemed like a good idea. He charged us 2.500Eu. Expensive enough when you consider we had the units and all but a dishwasher in white goods. The dishwasher cost 400 to the rest of the work costs 2.150Eu. However, because of the recommendation we had we proceeded. I should also say that when we were back in Ireland for Christmas we were told respraying is an expensive procedure so perhaps he is not overly expensive after all and we had received other quotes that cost more. We were possibly putting too much weight on the fact that we had already all the materials but, of course, its the craftsmanship that costs the money really.
I can't say until the job is complete how he worked out but he had some very good ideas that we hadn't thought of ourselves and he was very thorough regarding details etc. Because we were so impressed with our builder and his approach & he said he has used Jeremy for 15 years 9he's a carpenter by trade), we put a lot of faith in that.
It was an awkward job because of the configuration of the room but that's where his expertise came in. His workmanship to date,(the breakfast bar and bulkhead are installed already) is perfect and he had some cost saving ideas to offer as well. I hope this helps. His email addres is [email protected]
I hope this helps, we know how important it is to get a good recommendation. Best of luck.
Cheers. Ann
