We used and still use Currencies Direct.

I throughly recommend Wise have used for many years great rates quick efficient transfers.

You can Al's have a debit card which is useful for purchase in euros not really advisable for atm use as banks will make a charge.

we used Currencies Direct, they were great and got a great rate not equaled elsewhere, we use wise for moving smaller amounts to our Spanish bank account as it is cheaper than paying the high fees to use a wise or starling card in the ATM

I have used various banks including Currencies Direct but have found that Wise is bar far the best rate and the easiest/quickest to deal with.

As many people say use Wise. Just apply on line. Currencies direct are not the best exchange rate and also slow up the process,. That’s my experience.

I used my revolut account to purchase our villa. I set up a wise account to pay the direct debits as the Spanish banking charges are high.
