Meeting people - Page 3

Hello. Im Single late 50s and looking at moving to live in Spain permanently. Is there anything ypu suggest I should do before I lookat properties? Anywhere in particular you would recommend to buy? Looking for 2 bed Apt or Bungalow. Residential quiet area ideally but near Beach and Amenities. I like to meet up with people, so would be int in joining  Groups, Classes etc.

Im interested in moving to Spain to have better quality of life, and Sun in my bones. Cared for elderly Mum for 5 yearsand she is now in fulltime Care. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so warm climate def a big plus for me.

Any help/advice much appreciated.

I have moved to Alicante, staying in an Airbnb because I don't have the money to rent an apartment, or to be more precise the upfront payments of one or two months security deposit and the real estate fee. Dear Miriam. First of all you need to decide what your budget is? This will determine where you can live. ( Inland is cheaper than the coast, Also Costa del sol is a lot more  expensive than the Costa Blanca. Once you have done this decide what your really looking for (i.e. expat communities or Authentic Spain. Benidorm would be my personal nightmare! Then you need to book trips to areas , to find out if you like them, (idealista website is a great resource to find out how much property costs in particular areas. Personally I looked all along the Costa Blanca, and found my ideal place in San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia).
