Hi,

I have an appointment at the Oficina de Extranjeros in Murcia in a month's time to start the Residency process. Having not yet been to Murcia before, is it easy to get to and is parking ok?

Any advice from anyone who has been through the process would be welcome.

Many thanks.

Frank

We were there last week and it was also our first visit. If you have a SatNav or use Google Maps, then you can put the details into that or the address is Calle Francisco Alfonso Hidalgo Martinez, 38, Murcia. It's easy to follow the route and when you exit the last roundabout, there's a slip road that takes you past the front of the  Extranjeros building (which is a big, glass building) and you can park at the side of the road there or go to the parking area at the end, next to a small bar. 100 metres or so walk back to the building where you need to show your appointment info and have your ID documents ready.

This web page gives you step by step info with photos and maps.

I don;t know what it's like now but back in the summer it was best to go after 2pm - the place was empty both times I went around 4.30 and the car park was free and plenty of spaces- in and out before my appointment was due.
