Non resident taxes

Hello everyone, 

I would like to ask if i need to pay non resident taxes if I have a property here, but I don't rent it yet? Thanks for any answers

Yes you do need to pay taxes even though you do not rent your property out.

Looking ahead, should you rent the property out you will also be subject to U.K. income tax on the rental income (though only the difference once the Spanish tax has been deducted).

you only pay income tax once...in your country of residence....,no double taxation.

My understanding is that if you are not resident in Spain then you pay the Spanish authority but also your national authority any difference between that NRT and that which would apply under your domestic authority’s tax system.

Yes you do unfortunately. Our Classico costs around €100 pa but split between my wife and myself as we are both named on the deeds. I got Spanish Tax Forms to do it for me first time (£29) but have done it myself last year using their form as guidance 😀

My lawyer told me everyone, even if Spanish must pay a non-resident tax on a property they do not live it.
