Any tips on learning Spanish. Someone suggested YouTube Spanish with Paul. I tried that but finding it too difficult, probably because I'm not good at picking up languages. Any suggestions welcome, what worked for you?

There is a free side: duolingo when open it with google crome  you have the opportunity to speak also!

An other one is busuu, costs 3,00 a month.

That's a cop-out and you know it! ;-) Learning to speak Spanish is the same as learning anything else. You move at one step at a time and learn a word, a phrase or a whole sentence. I bet you've already learned how to ask for a beer. I rest my case!

Funnily enough no,haven't looked at asking for a beer yet! I tried the Learn Spanish With Paul but haven't got past lesson 1 yet, finding it hard to remember everything and I've watched it at least half a dozen times.Must be me!

Try James Spanish School.  I only found this recently.  I have done other online courses, and have a one to one lesson, but found James method so helpful.  He has a school in Pilar de la Horradada but has now videos you can download.  They are not free, but so worth the money.  I just bought the first bundle of videos to see if I liked it and have now almost finished the first 50!

So are you quite fluent in Spanish now? I'm hoping to learn a bit more than the basics like ordering a drink, or asking for menu, bill etc. But finding it hard.

Another thumbs up for James Spanish School. His style is easy going and I have learned much more than with other methods I have tried.

No, I am far from fluent.  It does not come easy but every small step is a step forward.  There are plenty of free podcasts to which just help to train your ear, even if you don't understand much.
