Weather at New Year

Hi
We are coming over at the New Year can you tell me what the weather is like then and is it cold in an evening.

Average minimum temperature at night in early January is 7c so a evening temperature of 10c to 11c would be typical so yes it will be cold.
Any sunshine during the day feels warm but it rapidly becomes cold after dark. Of course some nights are warmer than others although actual frost is very rare.
