Hi,

We live in Moratalla and we seem to be losing a couple of inches of water a day from our pool it seems to much for just evaporation , can anyone recommend someone to come and check it out for me ? It must be costing  us to keep filling it up as its a 10 X 6 metre pool.

Thankyou

Lyn

Hi Ian

We tried the bucket test and it lost half an inch. Some people we asked locally dont seem to think 2 inches a day is much but as we are new to having a pool we dont know. thanks for replying.

Lyn

That sounds a lot for such a big pool on a daily basis.

That is not a lot. Just sounds like evaporation. I get about the same in the summer but then lose nothing all through the winter. You could always buy a pool cover.

Sounds like evaporation,. When we first bought a villa with pool we were amazed how much water was lost the way. I top ours every 2/3 days.

Hi Lyn

I have a 10x5 pool and have never lost 2" in one day that is excessive.

I go by the tiles in the pool and it might drop by one tile every couple of days.

I would get someone to check it out for you.

Martin.

In the early days we had the pool checked a couple of times the conclusion was always evaporation.
