Car insurance requirements

Hi, we are travelling by Ferry for a 90 day stay. Do we need additional car insurance other than our UK policy?

Just your green card to cover insurance, but in Spain Spanish car insurance always comes with breakdown, so buy some international breakdown too. Your insurance company may provide it, or get it separate. Don't forget to take your V5 and insurance paperwork.

Check the AA website as I think that from the 02/08/22 green card insurance is no longer needed in Spain and a few other countries. I actually rang the, to verify as I was unsure whether the info was current or not, it also gives you a list of things you should carry such a the vehicles V5, your insurance certificate etc etc Hope this helps:
