Where would you suggest is the best area of the Costa Calida to stay? We want to be able to travel by bus to as many resorts as possible on the Mar Menor as well as to inland places of interest. Is Murcia city the best option? We would ideally prefer to be in a coastal location with a good choice of restaurants and places to see.
Murcia centre would be the best place for ease of travelling the region, you can hop on the bus to most places or the train which will take you to Cartagena. If you want to stay on the coast I would recommend San Pedro del Pinatar, you can get the bus from here to Murcia and then change there for a different destination.
