Been with them since 2004 - good online services/app and easy to get anything sorted with a "personal banker" online, or in the branch depending on where you live. It will cost you around €75 a year but one gets what one pays for.

I opened a WEFFERENT account with them in 2018 NO fees

Its an online account. If you have a “question” going through their “channels” it is answered in 15 minutes.

Hi anyone on here recommend banking with Cajamar ?

I have written many replies recommending the Cajamar wefferrent account and put a lengthy detailed one titled "Free Spanish bank account for non residents". There are many postings on this subject you just need to look through them.

Hi I have tried all ways to apply in English ,although the preamble is in English the application reverts to Spanish every time.

I investigated the Wefferent account when Cajamar last increased their charges. They emailed me the terms and conditions I would have to sign up to - a total of 23 A4 pages of banking legalese (gibberish) in Spanish.

If there are that many terms and conditions it must be designed to protect the bank rather than the customer, so I have stayed as I was.

Hi, Peter, shame you,re missing out, I haven't paid a cent in fees since March 2019 and can't recommend them enough. They have been brilliant. The wefferrent account is free of charges except if you do an in branch transaction which costs €7 fee. There are other accounts with them with fees but not wefferrent. Yes we got given a huge load of paperwork in Spanish then a full copy in English. They are a cooperative bank, you become a member. Can't fault them, and as non residents free banking in Spain priceless!

When I signed up for the Wefferent account a couple of years ago in branch they printed out the t& c's & I could hardly carry the dozens of printed pages.

All in Spanish of course.
