We are moving to Spain next month and have a non lucrative visa etc.  my son has decided to come with us. Will he need to have proof of sufficient savings or will ours be enough.  T I A

I think the best advice one could give is for you to discuss this with the Spanish Embassy as there are a number options.  Good luck.

If he can be classed as your 'dependant', then you would need to include an extra approx. €7,000. If not, then he would need to prove his own approx. €26,500. You should probably ask the consulate to clarify the criteria for a 'dependant'.

You should check with the consulate - you may find that a 'dependant' is under 18 years old, or with disabilities that result in them being 'dependent' on you...
