Hi,
Can anyone tell me about the village of La Estación and the surrounding countryside, good bad and indifferent. Interested in what there is to do there, amenities and if it is a safe / popular area.

Hi, although I do not live there myself I do pass through it, and shop there, on a regular basis. It has a wide variety of amenities, Bars, restaurants, Supermarkets, Chemists, Hardware store, Surgery, Garden Centre and much more. It is only 10 minutes from Peurto Lumbreras and some 15 minutes to Lorca. There are worse places to live I believe.

Only thing to add is a good dentist. Husband and wife. The husband speaks English.

If you have the farmacia on your right they are the second turning right (just after juan y Anna's bar) it's the first building on the right. Top floor theres a sign on the door.
