Good Day to all.

I have been visiting my house at various times throughout the year it is situated in Lo Pagan.

I bank with "BANKINTER"  there only branch which I know about is in L.A. I need to move to a bank in San Pedro,not only local but

hopefully a lot less expensive to maintain the account, ie It costs me over a hundred Euros to maintain the account last year.

Any recommendations most welcome.

I have recently opened a Euro wise Account slowly switching Direct Debits across from Sabadell then I will close the Sabadell Account. Most Companies have advised they have changed the details but only had 2 successfully showing I got notification to advice New Direct Debit been set up then straight after stating a payment had left.Payments have not gone out Sabadell either, so I am assuming it only shows on Wise when Companies request payment.Wise Account free I haven't as yet requested a card but thinking might get better rate than going to a money exchange when I am in Spain.Sick of the Bank Charges with Sabadell €40.😭

@Jan1961

I have a Wise euro account with a debit card.

You can use it as a normal debit card for shop & online purchases but the only snag is that you will be charged to withdraw cash from an ATM.

I top up my Wise euro account when the exchange rate is good then use it for all my purchases.

I rarely use cash these days.

Hi Roland

Thanks for your information most Helpful.I thought you could take cash out of the ATM or so many withdrawals a month.We usually take Cash over and exchange it for Euros at Euro exchange in Alcarcares or if theres one when we are out and about.Its mainly for shopping at supermarkets but Wise might gave better rate if we top up Account then use the Card.T

Thanks
