Hit and miss connection on my TV

If the tv is near the router instead of using wifi connect them using an ethernet cable - much more reliable. Do not buy a rubbish cable from a Chino, get the best quality that you can afford, and only buy the length you need to avoid signal drop.

You could buy a 'mesh' wi-fi system - google, nest & TP-Link are common brands. These spread your wi-fi throughout your house, without diminishing the strength of the signal.

I recently bought a TP-Link system (approx. €130 from Amazon) and it works really well. Plus - I'm not really into 'tech' and I was able to install it myself!

Have you tried using your tablet and possibly the tv (if not to heavy) downstairs? could it be the tv?

I have always found Flexa very helpful and have used them for many years when they were San Pedro Wifi

We're also with Flexa and had a long spate of losing connection late at night and the TV going off for a few seconds sometimes during the day. They replaced the cable from the box to the router but it still happened and eventually they did something at their end, and it was OK. During the last couple of days and this dodgy weather, we have had a few disconnections but we've put that down to the usual excuse of water in the cable boxes or thunderstorms interfering with the signal.
