How does it work if you have to get a PCR test and take boat from Portsmouth

Do they allow you on the boat without result of PCR test.. Do you need 2x PCR test  one so you have results before you get on boat and another to show authorities in Spain  as the first one might be out of date by time boat arrives on Spain  .. suggestions please

Ps I am aware if you are fully vaccinated you may not need pcr test. But some of the party may need pcr test

Before you embark you need vaccination certificate and your submited location form which will have been accepted and a QR cert emailed to you

Thanks but my challenge is timeliness..    I believe there is 72hour window for test b4 arrival.. so take away 36hours travelling on ferry..  that means 36 hours time in UK to get a tested n get PCR results back for lab..  so fairly tight.. is my thinking correct .. and if result gets delayed u would NOT be allowed on boat.. is that correct ?

I presume you are travelling with Brittany ferries, in which case i suggest you email them.  They have been very helpful  and quick to help me in the past
