Hi

We are buying a home in May and we will probably clear the property of a number of items, eg beds, broken cabinets, pots pans and decorating equipment. Is there a waste disposal facility nearby ? or what is best practice?

Any advice would be most helpful

Dean

If you replace any items with new the shop will take old stuff away, it's really good survice. Other rubbish I just dump in the large street side bins, much easier than UK where you have to take it to the Tip. Not sure whether you should do this but the Spanish certainly  do, I saw one guy dump a old fridge next to the bin and it had gone the next day! I find Spanish waste disposal easier than in the UK but then again I might not be doing it right! Andy

Yes I have put all manner of things next to the bins, some locals will take for themselves, some will strip it down at the side of the road and take what they can sell.

Hi

All the other replies are correct use the large bins which usually include recycle paper and glass bins as well.  Any large items (discreetly) put them by the bins and they will be gone the next day.

If you notice when you drive around there is not much rubbish lying around.

If your not needed items are in reasonable condition , look in the free papers , and various charities will come and collect them.

Good luck with your move
