Hi Ann

I would you suggest you try the CAMPER PARK  Santiago La Ribera at San Blas , they sell gas there are very helpful people and quite possibly will have what you want, or at least give you an answer as to whether the smaller bottles are available here.

If they do have them I assume it would not be an exchange as uk bottles have a different fitting to here.

This is their web site  http://camperparklaribera.com/en/home/ maybe you can phone them first, but personaly I would pay a visit.

Hope this helps

Hi Phil, thanks for letting me know.  I'm in San Pedro - have a car so  could come and collect.  Might you have a photo?  How much please?   This might solve my problem as I have a regulator but still need to know where to get a refill.  Any ideas?  Thanks ...

...again.  Ann

I live on camposol and the form shop on B will exchange for a full one about 14 euro i think

We pop up to Repsol garage in San Pedro Del Pinatar. If you know where Lidl is, then the Repsol garage is on the right hand side when driving away from Lidl towards the Salinas/Thalassia. Ours are the 13kg ones and fit in our BBQ cabinet.

You must have a contract though, as you need to present this to the office. You buy the licence from Sanchez in the town centre....go upstairs to the desk and ask for Butano licencia they will sort it out. The licence costs around 25 euro, and the gas from Repsol is 16.25 euros.

You may need a different regulator here, Sanchez/Leroy Merlin or any of  the Chinese shops generally sell them. Getting the 6kg here is tricky, can I ask why you want such a small one? Our 13kg one lasts us around 12 weeks and we cook outside everyday 😁

Hope that helps :)

Thank you so much Eduardo, that is most helpful and I will follow up on it and let you know how I get on. I have a Spanish regulator so should be all set to go once I locate the gas. Much appreciated. Kind regards Ann

Hi Kate and thank you for this very useful information. I know where the Repsol garage is and went there but the guy wasn't sure what I meant. Could be my rather poor Spanish🙄.  I'm going to go back with an illustration but I'm guessing they just don't have the 6kg size here. I wanted that size because it's easier for me to manage when hubby isn't here but I'll settle for the 13kg if I can't get it.h

I’m going to get the contract tomorrow Kate but don’t know where Sánchez office is but I’m sure I’ll find it.

Do you know The centre of San Pedro? You need the store called Sanchez. Where do you know?

Sanchez is a department store right in the main shopping area , going towards Lo Pagan ( if you are walking down from the main square) and over the front door it says Euronics. Go inside and go straight forward to the desk at the back... this isn’t the usual area, however the office upstairs was closed in the lockdown, as this is the electrical department and was considered non essential! The guys do not speak good English, so you ask for in contractos de  butano  which is a butane contract, they will understand.

If in doubt, google translate on your phone is always useful!
