Hello everyone

I have a couple of questions about renewing Spanish driving licence.

How long does it take? Mine was issued in Mazarron, can I renew it in Totana? Is it done through Police? How much does it cost?

I’m sure I’ll get answers. This is a great forum

Get an appointment at the approved centre nearest to you. There will be a basic medical, a coordination/ reaction test using a machine, they take your photo and send it all off digitally. Your new licence should come in the post a couple of weeks later. The costs vary according to your age - as a pensioner the renewal was free and the medical cost around €40 IIRC.

Ive never had a hearing test either for initial licence or renewal in Torre Pacheco or San Pedro….nobody I know has had a hearing test.

Maybe depends on the clinic you go to …

As part of the medical it would. Become obvious if you were struggling to hear what the doctor was saying, and could lead to further tests to ensure general fitness.
