Hi, we bought a gas cylinder from Sanchez in the town centre. They delivered it for free and took it up to our solarium where they connected it to our BBQ.

Great service, they do refills too!

Happy BBQing. Jo.

Thanks Jo, I know the place, in fact I got my document there to enable me to buy the gas but they don't do the 6kg cylinder that I'm looking for. I understand Cepsa don't do that size but Repsol do & im on the hunt again tomorrow for this elusive size. Thanks for your input Jo. Happy BBQing.

Sorry Eduardo, I thought I had replied, my apologies.  I am going to Santiago de Ribera later today and will check it out when I am there.  I have the details you gave me in my phone.  I'll let you know how it goes.  Thanks again.  Cheers.  Ann

Thank you so much Eduardo, that is most helpful and I will follow up on it and let you know how I get on. I have a Spanish regulator so should be all set to go once I locate the gas. Much appreciated. Kind regards Ann

Hi Eduardo,  Just an update on the gas cylinder saga.  I found both the camping site and the Repsol garage in Santiago de la Ribera and both establishments were indeed very helpful.  I now have my licence and also a regulator plus the knowledge I need to take this further thanks to the very helpful forum members on this site.   However, my next quest is to find an empty cylinder.  I hear the markets are going to be fully open on June 8th in some locations and I can wait as I do not want to pay 25Euro plus the 16.50Eu. which I would have to pay otherwise if I don't have an empty cylinder.  It's been fun and I am very grateful to everyone who did their very best to help me.

Thanks Peter, yes, took your advice and have found a Repsol garage that has the 6kg cylinder I need.  Now all I need to do is get an empty cylinder.  Was told they are sometimes to be found in the markets and I understand some markets are fully open June 8th so maybe I'll be lucky.,  Thanks again for your help,.

Ann I am not sure if they are open, but the scrap metal site on the 332 on the left gong towards San Javier from San Pedro just before Pinatar retail park, often have empty cylinders I have bought the large ones there in the past for 5 euro
