Just to update, I made it back to UK.
Took some really nice routes through the Pyrenees which I wouldn’t recommend to drive at night. Eurotunnel shuttle let me change my day without extra charge. No one stopped me on the way to check anything. Toll is France is super expensive ☹️

How many people were in the car? We have a real problem that we took the back seats out of our car, so one of us cannot sit in the back which I am told is the only way 2 people can travel in one car.

An interesting point Joan - does the current law mean that all two-seater sportscars may only have the driver? I rather think so - maybe ask the question of the good folk at N332?

I believe that if the van is being used for work in an essential trade, and the job needs two people this is ok - but not if two people are going shopping etc.

We have a Berlingo Multispace which we have taken the back seats out of. It is based on a van, does anyone think we could get away with calling it a van?

Hi,
Seems that Spain is now allowing more than one or two people in each vehicle (FCO 3/4) without having to sit one in front, one in back. Must be returning to UK though. Does anybody know if Catalonia will follow these rules or ignoring orders from Madrid?

Italian research shows that in a still space, microdroplets containing virus can circulate up to six metres, and breathing three metres so front seat, back seat was always a futile attempt at stopping virus transmission anyway.
