Insurance companies in Spain exist only in theory. - that is just to offer cover, and collect your premiums ad infinitum; and whenever you make a claim endeavour to wriggle out of paying every which way they can. Doesn't matter what company( in my 19 years of experience) they are all the same. They arbitrarily judge and pronounce in every instance, always to their own advantage. Premiums vary immensely for exactly the same cover , even depending which agent you use. I have come to accept they are a necessary evil, in case of gota fria damaage in which case you always get paid because it comes from the Government not them.

I didn’t even get a penny from them when the gota fría hit 3/4 years back

Harkie 62 - There is always an exception to every case. - When claiming under official gota fria conditions you have to be quick. There is a window of opportunity to comply with. - The money comes from a Government pot, not even from Insurance Company coffers, but it is finite.

I do not see how this has anything to do with recommending an insurance company or broker.
If you wish to share your bad experiences with insurance companies would it not be better to start your own topic on this matter.
I am sure that what you are stating exists in many countries I remember a program on UK tv called claimed and shamed
