Hi, I’m new to this group, so ,’Ola’   We are seriously considering Bullas as an option to live. It’s myself and my husband in our early 50’s and our son who is 18.  So my questions are, what’s life like as an expat in Bullas and are there many teenagers around    Thanks in advance 😁

Hi.

We are considering moving to Bullas and I have a 17 year old son.

Did you make the move? If so, how are you and your son finding it?

Hi,  we haven’t got there yet . We put our plans on hold because of Covid. It did seem a lovely little place though, my mother lives in Alicante and she took a drive up there , she said it’s lovely there, very spanish she said it was very quiet but it was on a Sunday.  Have u visited there yourself, are you planning on moving soon , it’s interesting to find someone else looking at this tiny little village 😀

We are going to take a look in the next few weeks and are hoping to move to somewhere in Spain by the end of the year.

I used to live in Búllas with my husband years ago, we moved back to uk when brexit began but are hoping to move back in a few years. Bullas is a beautiful and friendly place to live, it is very Spanish and you will need a basic Spanish vocabulary to get by in everyday life or at least be willing to learn, there are a few English people living there, all the ones I met spoke fluent Spanish. I didn’t speak a word of Spanish when I moved there but I found a local girl to tutor me which really helped. I would definitely move back there

Thanks.

We visited today and were very impressed. The area is beautiful. The town is quiet, but appears laid back and welcoming.

Ahh see I tried that and it was a great help for general words to start with but when trying to hold a full conversation with Spanish people who I suppose probably spoke abit of slang language it didn’t translate very well and we had some hilarious weird conversations 😂
