Dog has her Rabies jab, annual vaccine and booster etc for her new European Passport prior to traveling with us to Spain within regulated rabies jab waiting time of min 21 days; Do dogs still require tape worm protection?

Just read that it's law to have her resrained in car with harness. Is this correct and is it enforced? Have we missed anything else?

If you have the full EU dog passport it is very easy going through passport control in Spain we came through in August with our 2 dogs and just a quick check of the passports / chips and we were waived through. No need for the tapeworm protection but you do need it for the return to the UK my dogs are booked in a fortnights time for the return.

Regarding the harness requirements we dont use them because with small dogs(westy's) they still get thrown off the seats. We travel with ours in the footwell at the front of the car and have been checked by the police 3 times over the years (standard road side checks for all ) with no comments made. But as you know each officers has his own approach to these things.

Great reply & very informative, thanks a bunch Paul. Yes, she's on a new European Passport now issued here in Ireland, we replaced her old UK Euro one after BREXIT (we're British) as I've noted the switch on treatment for most things Union Jack with European customs posts!!
