At the age of 62/60 ...as you know this is below UK pension age ...so you have around another 5 year's to wait...so this basically means that you will need to pay for private Health Insurance for you and your partner so before you jump in with both feet ...get some quotes first ...as you cannot use your EHIC when you live in Spain as a full time resident... you will also need a disposable income of Approximately €15,000 per year for 2 people before you are accepted as a resident if you are accepted as a resident any worldwide assets that generates a income is now Taxable in Spain..if you Google C A B Spain you will find all the info you require.

Apparently you need approximately €15,000 disposable per couple this does not include rent or mortgage payments before you can apply for Spanish residency  ..this with today's exchange rate equals around £240 per week..the only things I find cheaper in Spain are I.B.I (council tax) alcohol and cigarettes.. you will find food in the super market is expensive.. especially if you shop in the likes of Asda in the UK ... electricity and water can also work out expensive with the standing charges and so forth .  £240 per week it is not enough for two people to live on ..when you start paying the day to day bills ...I have owned a holiday home for 12 year's on Camposol I visit Camposol every 6 week's throughout the year so I am fully aware of what food cost from a shop and eating out and so forth in the UK and Spain ... personally I don't think a couple could live on £240 per.week = €15,000 per year it's just not enough...rent before you buy a d see how it goes good luck.

You must have expensive taste. ...we don't spend that much? We don't smoke... we try to buy local produce whenever possible.  Run a car (fully legal) have a detached home with pool!! we are financially better of here than we were in the uk🤔

If you don't eat out then 100 euro per week is plenty to live on.

As soon as you start eating out particularly in "English" places then you weekly cost could easily double.

Add on 50 euro per week for running a small car so 150 euro a week.

Gloria 007 ..why move to Spain and live in poverty..the Spanish have inforce the €7,500 per person Residents rule to stop people becoming a burden on the Spanish Tax payer...and their is no such thing as self maintenance .. everything from s light bulb to a pot of Paint has to be paid for...the properties on Camposol need constant maintenance or they will fall down believe me ..you learn alot about a place after spending 12 year's as a owner.
