Hi Paul - have you thought of rescuing? We rescued a 2 year old staffer 4 years ago - best thing we ever did, she is absolutely fantastic.

You are going to be inundated with people saying you should use a rescue centre not buy a pedigree Westie.  I have 2  beautiful Westies - both bought over here - and also have looked after rescue dogs temporarily.  I suggest you ask at your local vet who will help you.  Be careful sourcing breeders yourself as there are a lot of unscrupulous people here as well as other countries.

Our previous Westy loved it over here but he did enjoy the swimming pool to cool down and sunbathing afterwards. In the peak months you can't walk them due to the ground temp becoming to hot on their paws.

Evening and early morning walks are ok

Tended to find his eating varied to eating again during the cooler times of the day
