Low water pressure problems
Low water pressure problems Councillor for Camposol, Silvana Buxton has received an update from Aqualia’s technical operations supervisor with regard to low water pressure reports lodged with the company’s customer service, his observations are as follows:-Regarding complaints of lack of pressure, especially in Sector D, in pursuance of the reports we have checked thus far, all have the correct pressure at the entrance (Water meter) to the property, low pressure inside the property could be a result of the very high water pressure previously experienced which could have led to pressure being turned down either after the entrance (water meter) or with pressure reducing or flow valves at points inside the property which would have to be adjusted when the pressure in the external network pressure was reduced. These adjustments can be made by any private plumber or the owners their selves.CFC Note: there is anecdotal evidence that individual property high water pressure problems has been remedied in the past by turning down the supply tap immediately after the water meter (inside the meter box), this can be corrected by turning the tap to allow more pressure, in some cases this may not be adjacent to the property concerned but in a communal meter box at the end of a terraced row, there are also quarter turn valves/taps in kitchens and bathrooms as well as sinks, toilet cisterns etc, adjustments should be made by a competent person or professional plumber.
