The photo shows the type of gas bottle (orange/red propane) and adapter that I use here in Ireland, both for our house feeding the gas cooker and also while touring with the caravan.  Also the 3 main types of adapter: 1= Male thread.  2 = Bayonet. 3 = Female thread.

We're travelling over and then living in our holiday caravan until we find our villa.

Questions please:  which type of bottle do you guys use over there, orange/red propane or brown butane?    Also, which type of adapter to fit the most popular type of bottle, 1, 2 or 3?

TIA.

Orange bottle Propane (Propano) similar  regulator 2

You can buy the regulators over here anyway for about €9 from Leroy merlin.

Chinese shops sell them too and local ferratias

From Repsol, both Butano and Propano are in orange bottles, the difference being Propano has a black band painted around it and has less gas. They also do a plastic bottle of Butano which contains less gas is more expensive and has a blue carrying top.

From Cepsa another supplier the bottles are silver and normally more expensive.

Sorry but having used both gasses for over 20 years I believe the regulator you have as number 2 or any of them will not fit any Spanish gas bottles.
