I am nearing completion on house in C section. The vendor allowed electric n water to be disconnected. How long does it take to these reconnected? I'd like to plan travelling. Thanks for any advise Dan

Probably depends on a number of things, but I would allow a couple of months.
As you are probably finding out, things just don't happen like they do in the UK.
